At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time HR Business Partner (f/m/d) in Vienna we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 700 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity™ tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Valerie Zausch, HR Director PL RSC Light Rail CNE and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We'll look for you to:

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the business, building trusted relationships with managers, guiding decision-making on people topics, and helping leaders translate business challenges into effective people solutions that support growth, performance, and engagement.

  • Shape the workforce of the future, partnering closely with leaders on workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational development to ensure the right capabilities are in place to support current and future business needs.

  • Drive employee engagement and performance, coaching managers through key people processes, supporting performance and development discussions, and helping to create an inclusive, high-performing, and collaborative work environment.

  • Lead organizational and people transformation initiatives, supporting changes in structure, ways of working, leadership capability, and culture while ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

All about you:

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

Essential:

  • Experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, or comparable HR role.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Good understanding of Austrian labor law and employee relations.

  • German and English fluency.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or project-based environments.

  • Experience supporting organizational change, talent management, or workforce planning.

  • Experience working in a matrix organization.

Things You'll enjoy:

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Experience a dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company for green mobility

  • Grant a competitive remuneration package depending on professional and personal qualifications of minimum 68.000 EUR gross per year based on an all-in contract including benefits of a modern group company

  • Optimise work-life balance with flexible working hours and hybrid working models as well as bridging days, parental part-time and “Papamonat”

  • Alstom site with company canteen and meal allowance as well as good transport connections and free parking facilities

  • Explore growth opportunities and steer your career across functions and countries

  • Benefit from excellent training opportunities through our award-winning Alstom University and participate in the company's innovation culture through idea management program

  • Thrive in a modern and collaborative workplace featuring mentor and buddy programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, CSR activities, and engaging employee events

  • Enjoy a comprehensive corporate health management with various initiatives such as company physician and psychologist and other health measures

  • Other attractive offers such as employee discounts, company bike leasing & share purchase program

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
