The position of General Manager, International Surgery, is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies focused on increasing performance for the Surgery business in the International Region. The International Region is comprised of Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia, LatAm, Japan, AKA, India and South Asia.

This role is responsible within the International Region for selling products, services, parts, solutions or projects and for driving growth by working across P&L and regional marketing and sales teams. The General Manager will gather voice of the customer and provide customer input on product and solutions definitions and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deep domain knowledge in surgical and/or interventional products or adjacencies.
• Lead and cultivate a culture of GE Values, Integrity and Teamwork.
• Manage sales teams across large global markets, including selecting, training and developing personnel.
• Develop growth strategies for equipment and services together with product and marketing managers.
• Ensure optimal sales coverage in each region and review sales team performance with regional sales managers.
• Work closely with global product managers and support product releases for customer satisfaction and international market opportunities.
• Deploy resources to meet financial and operating objectives including orders, revenue, contribution margin and cost control.
• Identify customer needs and develop customer-specific solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional and cross-business teams to deliver strategic business and marketing priorities.
• Direct market research and analysis and provide input to pricing strategies.

Quality Specific Goals

• Comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations.
• Complete planned Quality and Compliance training within defined deadlines.
• Identify and report quality or compliance concerns and take corrective action as required.
• Drive continuous simplification and improvement of related processes, work instructions and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of sales management experience including strategic selling and negotiation.
• Strong business acumen and experience in the product area.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience interfacing with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based sales process.
• Ability to resolve complex issues within the functional area or area of expertise.
• Strong communication skills to synthesize complex issues into simple messages.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
• Fluent English.
